Dr. David Jackson
Educational Consultant
Dr. David A. Jackson is a retired principal who served 26 years in the Houston Independent School District. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College, a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston, and a Doctorate in Education from the Cooperative Superintendency Program at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Jackson is currently the board president of the Emerging Learners Literacy Foundation. He is also active with The Harvest United Methodist Church and Scouts BSA.

Dr. Destry Dokes
Dr. Destry Dokes is the President/CEO of DokesPartners, LLC. He is also the Executive Director of San Jacinto College new Generation Park campus which opened in August 2020. Prior to San Jacinto College, Dr. Dokes served as the Interim President Houston Community College Northeast, College Operations Officer for Houston Community College Northwest and Director of Operations and Department Administrator for the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He is an author, keynote speaker, leadership coach and presenter, and entrepreneur.
Dr. Dokes holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Southern University, a Master’s in Business Administration, LeTourneau University, and a Doctorate in Business Administration-Leadership, Walden University. He is also a Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt, Certified Diversity and Inclusion Champion, Certified Energy Leadership Coach, Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner, Certified Program Planner and a Certified Training Professional. Dr. Dokes has an extensive background in budgeting, strategic planning, leadership coaching and problem solving, capacity building, and developing cultures that embrace excellence as a core performance characteristic. Additionally, he has completed several outstanding leadership programs, such as the West Houston Leadership Institute, the West Houston Association Rising Leaders, and The Thomas Lakin Institute for Mentored Leadership, a national professional development program sponsored by the Presidents’ Round Table of CEOs of Community Colleges.
Dr. Dokes extensive experiential work on Virtuous Leadership has helped motivate his passion for the professional development and leadership coaching work he does through DokesPartners, LLC. His most recent project entitled, ‘Performance Excellence Practitioner Impact Model’ focus on developing workplace cultures that embrace leadership characteristics that support and promote positive-based performance actions. Developing and prescribing leadership characteristics can serve as the multiplier for individuals and organizations. He continues to work with Independent School Districts, industry, religious organizations, non-profits, and individuals as a leadership advocate and Certified Energy Leadership Coach. Dr. Dokes strongly believe he can help permeate positive and optimistic discussions based on inclusion that result in relevant outcomes for the individuals, groups, companies, and communities. Additionally, one of his purposes is to develop and coach performance excellence practitioners who exemplify and perpetuate positive leadership characteristics.
Dr. Dokes is also a strong believer that “building relationships is the catalyst for engendering team commitment towards performance excellence characteristics that motivate and deliver meaningful engagement and success, respectively.” He is a member of several professional community organizations and committees and is married with two beautiful children.
